The Natural Way Cattle Were Meant to Graze
Cattle are ruminant animals, designed to thrive on grass—not grain. At Grand View Farm, we embrace this natural design by rotating our cattle daily to fresh pastures. This rotational grazing allows them to graze just as nature intended, ensuring their health and well-being.
By pairing our cattle with our egg-laying hens in a regenerative grazing system, we’re able to build rich, fertile soil that supports healthier, more nutritious pastures. As the grass regrows, it becomes even more nutrient-dense, providing a clean, fresh buffet of legumes and grasses for our cattle. It’s a healing process that benefits the land, the animals, and ultimately, you.
The result? Beef that is not only clean and delicious but also superior in nutritional value compared to conventional grain-fed options. Our cattle receive a completely natural diet, supported by free-choice organic minerals and never requiring medication. At GVF, we’re committed to raising healthy cattle that produce beef you can feel good about feeding your family.

Pigs Were Born to Root – Not to Be Confined
If pigs were given snouts to root, why does the industrial farming industry confine them to concrete floors or fit them with nose rings?
At Grand View Farm, we do things differently. Here’s our “dirty secret” to raising clean, healthy pork: we let pigs get dirty! Allowing pigs to root, dig, and roam on pasture doesn’t just honor their natural instincts—it delivers incredible benefits.
All those microorganisms in the soil, the nutrients from roots and legumes, the fresh air, and the sunlight combine to create a healthy, stress-free environment for our pigs. The result? A better life for the animal and pork that’s richer in flavor and packed with nutrients—some of the most nutrient-dense pork you’ll ever eat.
Why Pastured Pigs Are Healthier Pigs
Research shows that pastured pigs produce meat naturally enriched with nutrients. Compared to pigs raised in confinement, pastured pigs have:
300% more vitamin E
74% more selenium, a critical antioxidant

These nutrients not only improve the pigs’ overall health but also benefit their litters, ensuring healthier offspring and better milk production. Unlike synthetic vitamins added to confined pigs’ diets, natural vitamins from pasture are fully absorbed, resulting in healthier meat for you.

Egg Layers: Naturally Nutritious Eggs
At Grand View Farm, our egg-laying hens begin their journey as started pullets. By the time they arrive, they’re about 17 weeks old and nearly ready to lay eggs daily. Once on the farm, they’re immediately introduced to the pasture and integrated with the existing flock. Within days, they know where to eat, drink, lay their eggs, and roost for the night.
Our hens are rotated every few days, following the cattle across the pastures. This partnership not only keeps the land healthy but also ensures our hens produce eggs that are beautiful, nutritious, and delicious. Their pasture diet is supplemented with a custom mix of local grains that is always soy-free and non-GMO.
A Mother Earth News study shows that pasture-raised eggs are far superior to industrially produced eggs, containing:
1/3 less cholesterol
1/4 less saturated fat
2/3 more vitamin A
2x more omega-3 fatty acids
3x more vitamin E
7x more beta carotene
4-6x more vitamin D
When you choose pasture-raised eggs from GVF, you’re not just getting incredible flavor—you’re getting better nutrition for your family.

Broilers: Chickens Raised the Right Way
At Grand View Farm, our commitment to pasture raising extends to our broiler chickens. While chickens aren’t ruminants like cattle, they thrive when raised in natural environments. It’s all about the grass, and our broilers are no exception.
Broiler chicks come to us as day-old peeps. For the first four weeks, they’re cared for in a brooder house where they stay warm, protected, and have constant access to GMO-free feed and fresh water.
Once they’re strong enough to handle the elements, the broilers move to pastures, where they live in portable shelters that we call "chicken tractors". These portable shelters give them constant access to fresh grass, bugs, and dirt while protecting them from direct sunlight and predators. By moving them daily, we ensure they stay clean, healthy, and active, with plenty of fresh air and sunlight. Their pasture diet is supplemented with a custom mix of local grains that is always soy-free and non-GMO.
This method of raising broilers results in clean, flavorful, and nutrient-rich chicken you can trust to feed your family.
