Pasture Raised Meats, Delivered!

In 2010 the Bailey family set out to prove that great food could be produced locally and made available to the community, so they started with one cow and 25 egg layers. The Farm Store was just a refrigerator in the couple hundred year old barn on the property and a few customers would come out on the weekends to get their fresh eggs.

The number of animals and the community support has grown since then, but there are a few fundamentals that will not change. When you visit and purchase from GVF you can expect that the product you are buying is better than any other, in cleanliness, nutrient density and integrity. The best part of it all is that you, the consumer has the power to make the decision to purchase after walking around the pastures and knowing everything there is to know about how the food that we produce makes it to your plate. This is the ultimate in transparency and we believe that is essential to accountability.

Listen to our Origin Story Here

We rely on that relationship with the customers, who we call our "Tribe" to replace fancy labels and certifications. We are not certified organic, although our practices exceed those standards. We are not certified humanely raised, but one trip around the farm will confirm for you that there is no better life for these animals.

Over the years the farm has grown from a few dozen eggs in the old barn to a product selection of 100% grass fed beef, soy-free GMO-free pasture raised pork, chicken, eggs and turkeys and organically grown seasonal vegetables. Beyond the products grown on our farm, we have partnered with other local farms such as Rousedale Farm, Freedom Valley Farm, Third Way Farm and Wild Rose Farm to help us raise livestock. We also offer exceptional products from other local farms and artisans, so come for a visit and check it all out for yourself.

We offer three ways to purchase GVF products in an effort to make it as convenient as possible for you to support the farm. Our on farm store is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We serve Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, New York and North Carolina with home delivery service.

Simply put in your zip code and we'll let you know the best way to get your order to you. Please visit our "How to Purchase" page to learn more.

We're grateful for the opportunity to serve you and look forward to exceeding your expectations.

What People are Saying about GVF

I agree with the previous comments, 5 stars isn't enough to accurately describe the value and commitment this farm brings to our local and surrounding communities. You truly are amazing stewards of the land and the animals that have been entrusted to you.
Lynn
A friend and I visited Grand View on Saturday and I came away knowing that I had found a piece of heaven on earth! Not only is the quality of what they offer beyond anything I had experienced but the care and honor given to the animals is 110% and what I had prayed for, right down to humane slaughter. I encourage you to go visit the farm, meet the whole family, see the beauty of what they are doing there and make your own decision.
Carole
Seriously 5 stars does not do this farm justice! I thoroughly endorse the care of the animals, and, in fact, I'm blown away!
