At Grand View Farm, we’re passionate about providing nourishing food and cultivating genuine relationships by earning your trust. Through thoughtful stewardship, we regenerate land, raise livestock with respect, and believe good food is the foundation for better lives.
Humility
We recognize that nature, people, and communities are incredibly complex. We reject arrogance and approach each day with curiosity, openness, and a desire to learn. True stewardship begins with listening and observing before acting.
Service
We are here to serve—our Creator, our family, our community, and our customers. We find purpose in putting others before ourselves and in the daily work of feeding people with integrity and care.
Trust & Integrity
Trust is the foundation of everything we do. We work every day to earn and keep the trust of our customers—through honesty, transparency, and consistent care. We also trust in God’s provision and trust one another to act with integrity, even when no one is watching.
Respect
We honor the land, the animals, and one another. We believe all life deserves dignity, and that regenerative farming is built on mutual respect between people and the natural world.
Responsibility
We take ownership of our choices, our work, and our impact. From animal care to customer service, we hold ourselves accountable—because excellence and trust are earned through responsibility.
Gratitude
We’re deeply thankful for the opportunity to do this work, for the people who support it, and for the land that makes it possible. Gratitude keeps us grounded and reminds us of what truly matters.
Simplicity
We value what’s real and honest. By keeping things simple—how we farm, how we communicate, how we live—we find clarity, purpose, and a better way forward.
Conviction
We are guided by our principles—not by trends, pressure, or fear. With clear values and courage, we stay the course even when it’s unpopular or inconvenient, knowing that truth and integrity require conviction.
Grace
We accept that imperfection is part of life. Mistakes will happen—in our team, our systems, and even nature. We lead with grace, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and compassion.
Stewardship
We make decisions with future generations in mind. Quick wins aren’t worth long-term harm. We’re building something enduring—by focusing on principles, not shortcuts.
In 2010 the Bailey family set out to prove that great food could be produced locally and made available to the community, so they started with one cow and 25 egg layers. The Farm Store was just a refrigerator in the couple hundred year old barn on the property and a few customers would come out on the weekends to get their fresh eggs.
The number of animals and the community support has grown since then, but there are a few fundamentals that will not change. When you visit and purchase from GVF you can expect that the product you are buying is better than any other, in cleanliness, nutrient density and integrity. The best part of it all is that you, the consumer has the power to make the decision to purchase after walking around the pastures and knowing everything there is to know about how the food that we produce makes it to your plate. This is the ultimate in transparency and we believe that is essential to accountability.

We rely on that relationship with the customers, who we call our "Tribe" to replace fancy labels and certifications. We are not certified organic, although our practices exceed those standards. We are not certified humanely raised, but one trip around the farm will confirm for you that there is no better life for these animals.
Over the years the farm has grown from a few dozen eggs in the old barn to a product selection of 100% grass fed beef, soy-free GMO-free pasture raised pork, chicken, eggs and turkeys and organically grown seasonal vegetables. Beyond the products grown on our farm, we have partnered with other local farms to help us raise livestock. We also offer exceptional products from various local farms and artisans, so come for a visit and check it all out for yourself.
We offer three ways to purchase GVF products in an effort to make it as convenient as possible for you to support the farm. Our on farm store is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We serve Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, New York and North Carolina with home delivery service.

I agree with the previous comments, 5 stars isn't enough to accurately describe the value and commitment this farm brings to our local and surrounding communities. You truly are amazing stewards of the land and the animals that have been entrusted to you.
A friend and I visited Grand View on Saturday and I came away knowing that I had found a piece of heaven on earth! Not only is the quality of what they offer beyond anything I had experienced but the care and honor given to the animals is 110% and what I had prayed for, right down to humane slaughter. I encourage you to go visit the farm, meet the whole family, see the beauty of what they are doing there and make your own decision.
Seriously 5 stars does not do this farm justice! I thoroughly endorse the care of the animals, and, in fact, I'm blown away!
